A MembersFirst Business Account is great for small business owners and is designed to keep your business banking as simple as your personal banking.

To open a business account, you will need:

  • A Basic Business Savings (Membership) Account with a minimum deposit of $25
  • A signed Corporate Resolution (provided by MembersFirst)
  • A Federal Tax ID number (if you are operating under a tax ID number) or your Social Security Number
  • A valid driver's license or a Georgia ID.

Basic Business Checking

The Basic Business Checking account is ideal for businesses operating under a Tax ID number. (You can obtain a Federal Tax ID number from the Department of Treasury.)

With this account:

  • Maintain a minimum average daily balance of $1,000.00*
  • Unlimited check writing
  • Free Online Banking & Bill Pay

This account does not earn interest.

Personal Business Checking

The Personal Business Checking Account is ideal for individuals operating under a DBA ("doing business as"). In this case, the business does not have a Tax ID number but operates using the social security number of the owner.

With this account:

  • Maintain a minimum average daily balance of $300.00*
  • Earn interest when you maintain an average daily balance of $1,500.00
  • Unlimited check writing
  • Free Online Banking & Bill Pay

* A monthly service charge of $10.00 is assessed if you do not maintain the average daily balance.
